Vacation Offers

At least twice a week I get mail offering vacation deals. They want me to come to their resort and spend a weekend. Or they want me to accept a discount on a cruise to some tropical paradise. Probably some of the offers would really turn out to be genuine values. The problem is I can't afford to be gone on vacations twice a week!

Franke

My wife was very pleased last night when a teen ager who was visiting in our home complimented her on how nice the bathroom looks. We just remodeled that room, with new custom made cabinets my wife designed, two new Franke sinks and Moen faucets and a new Bath Fitters tub. It does look good.

Destination Weddings

June, the month for many weddings, is approaching rapidly. No doubt many young ladies are making plans for their nuptials. If I were one of them, I would very seriously consider one of the destination weddings that are being promoted by resorts in exotic locations, like resorts on the Riviera Maya in Mexico. The resorts not only offer romantic settings for the wedding, but also will take care of all the planning. The wedding packages include the flowers, photography and food, everything needed for the perfect ceremony. That means the bride can put away all the stress and worry, and more completely enjoy the day.

Labels

I have never been very fashion conscious, though I do like to dress nicely once in a while to take my wife out for an evening together. But I don't care about what label is on my suit or shirt. I shop mostly at discount stores for clothes that are comfortable. I would not care if my outfit had Primera labels instead of designer labels.

Super Foods

I just read an article of the Orovo company and its original diet supplement, as well as its growing line of products from juices to muscle building supplements to acne creams and more.

The article recounted an experiment to check out the benefits or lack thereof from the products. The writer was very impressed with the benefits of Orovo and the top ten super foods.

Creative Talent

I have always been impressed with creative talent, especially the talent to make things look good, attractive and appealing, though they be the most mundane things in the world. An example is those trade show booths that are presenting some ho hum piece of equipment. To make the display eye catching is a talent, one that I just do not have.

Fifty Flowers

Founder and CEO of FiftyFlowers.com, Lisa Roeser Atwood, has built a wonderful business on some solid concepts. The process of getting flowers to the customer has been streamlined by eliminating the wholesalers that require the blooms to be kept in coolers for days after they are cut and then re-hydrated by the retailer. Instead of the traditional process, flowers are cut at flower farms and shipped directly to the client. The bulk flowers are the freshest and highest quality at tremendous savings. Those who are planning a wedding, or any other event that requires floral arrangements or bouquets, would be well served to contact Fifty Flowers.

Obama and Wright

I am wondering how much it is going to hurt Barack Obama to be linked to the pastor of the church he has attended for the past twenty years. I have never seen or heard anything in church like the bile spewed by Jeremiah Wright, as was shown on the news over the weekend. It is hard to believe that Obama did not know of the racist and divisive nature of the messages being preached. It was ugly and will likely drive away some voters.

Credit Repair

Most of us that have lived a while have had to deal with difficult financial circumstances. Some of the time the difficulties were due to our irresponsibility or lack of self control as we learned the consequences of buying now and paying later. But other times it may have been some outside force or event that was completely beyond our control but that left us unable to meet our obligations.

Bad Credit can be a burden that keeps us from being able to move forward and back to stability. Credit Cards For Bad Credit are available and can be tools to help re-establishing one's good name and credit rating if they are used properly and with discretion.

Vanity

I wonder how much money is spent in America on anti-aging products and procedures. There are creams and potions, pills and surgeries, implants and exercises, foods and drinks. It is amazing that we are so vain and so insecure that we have to pretend that we are not as old as our birth certificates indicate. Amazing, and expensive!

Memory, What Memory?

There are some things about aging that are a challenge, aches and pains, slower reflexes and changing sleep patterns. But for me the most irritating is the loss of memory. That was one of my strong points as a young man. I could meet a room of more than a hundred people and then greet them by name at the end of the meeting. Now I sometimes have trouble calling the name of someone I have known for years!

Fancy Watch Dreams

Sometimes I see someone wearing an impressive watch and think it would be nice to own one myself. And once in a while I will stop and window shop at some exclusive jeweler, checking out their high end watches, trying to decide which one would look best on my arm. Recently I saw a display of Hublot big bang watches. I picked out a 44mm 18 karat RG, just in case someone out there wants to send me one!

Property in Branson

One of the teen age girls in our congregation was chosen to be part of a revue at Silver Dollar City in Missouri. Her mom is going to spend most of the summer up there with her. Rather than staying in a hotel, the family is looking into some Branson property. It makes sense, because the popularity of the region, there is every likelihood that the investment will provide a nice return over the years and a home for them this summer.
