Does Either Party Really Want to Solve The Border Problem?

I get so frustrated at all the rhetoric about the issue of border security. Nobody in power really seems to want to really fix the problem, they only only want to devise ways to continue, or strengthen their power base! Isn't it time for meaningful dialogue about the security of our nation?
