Please Practice What You Preach!

Most people have an aversion to a hypocrite. Hypocrisy is repulsive. Consequently many use it as an excuse for not obeying the gospel. I imagine most Christians have heard some variation of, "Well, if that is the way Christians are, I don't want to be one."

The old adage, "practice what you preach", is one that all Christians should strive to live in their daily lives. Doing anything else cheapens your professed morals in the eyes of the world. Saying one thing and doing another, unfortunately, detracts from the character of one's stated beliefs.

So it behooves you to carry out in actions the thoughts you express verbally. How would you answer a preacher if he asked you, "Can I preach what you practice?"

Matthew23:27 "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautifull outward, but are full of dead men's bones, and all uncleanness."
