I have been amazed at the mushrooming popularity of poker in the past four or five years. The World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel is very highly rated for viewership and the World Series of Poker has become a major event on ESPN each year. This year over ten thousand people entered that tournament!
Of course that growth in popularity has been a welcome development by those who produce
poker tables and poker chips for homes. The sales have increased dramatically, as more and more people host poker nights in their own abodes.
