Las Vegas?

Our wedding anniversary is coming up in late March. It will be number forty one. I know I must do something to acknowledge the day, but we just got back from a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, so I do not have a lot of extra money to spend. Maybe I should just make Las Vegas hotel reservations for that weekend. It is fairly cheap to to fly to Vegas compared to other attractions and you can have a nice time without gambling because of all the shows!

I have been traveling to the island of Dominica about once a year for the last 25 years. Dominica is the island on which the last two Pirates of the Caribbean movies were filmed. I've been going to the island for the richness of the beauty and the warmth of the people. Until recently it had never occurred to me to seek other kinds of treasures there.

I wish I had bought some Branson real estate thirty or forty years ago. I would have gotten rich selling it to those who have developed that lazy town into an entertainment and recreation destination to compete with the glamorous places like Orlando or Las Vegas or Atlantic City. A Gold Watch

I am not much of a jewelry wearing man. I do not wear a necklace or bracelet, I don't have any ear rings or piercings. The only ring I wear is a simple gold band to indicate to the world that I am married to the greatest girl in the world. But I do enjoy the elegance of gold watches, and the way one feels on the wrist.

Mortgage Lenders In Jeopardy?

I have not kept up with the big turmoil about the sub-prime mortgages and the number of repossessions, as I have almost paid off the mortgage on my home. Our loan was a ten year fixed rate of interest. But I wonder if the big mortgage lenders today are going to survive the storm in the industry.
